The band favors harmony guitar parts, some what in the realm of Iron Maiden, Queensryche, and Helloween.

Three of the members, (John, Jason, and Steve), have quite a history of playing the club scene, throughout Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, for many years, in a cover band. When deciding to do, an all original metal project, the initial singer did not work out, and that’s when Bill was approached about the project, at first, as a way to get the material recorded. While working together, on new songs in 2006, the four musicians decided to join forces, to create Rachels Coven.
